Introduction to the lesson

In today’s class you will experience an online “Webinar”.  This particular webinar is an archive of a live session.  If you were enrolled in a live webinar you would be able to ask questions and communicate with others in the webinar via a chat window.  There are many webinars available on the Internet.  This particular webinar was produced by United Streaming Video.  For more information on United Streaming webinars or to enroll in one go to:

Before you begin let’s look up the definition a “Webinar”.  Go to:

Now look up the definition of “Digital Story Telling.”  Go To:

Write down these definitions ---- You will need them later!

 

Now that we know what a “Webinar” is let’s experience one.  This session is broken down into two parts.  The first part will introduce you to “Digital StoryTelling” while the second part will show you some examples.  You will use the material presented when you do your “Video” project.

 

As you view the webinar look for the following information:

  • What is the free program for the PC that is used to create Digital Stories?
  • What are 4 project possibilities for digital storytelling?
